 Choices limited only by imagination
Marvin windows and doors come in an infinite variety of shapes and sizes. Choose divided lite options from an expansive design spectrum. Precisely replicate an existing lite cut or specify custom divided lites according to a new design. The aluminum milling process gives Marvin the ability to provide simulated divided lite bars in many different widths, shapes and confiqurations -- straight bars, circles, half-circles, ellipses and more. Pattern design is limited only by imagination. Bars are offered in widths from 5/8" - 6".
Specify a wide bar that aligns with sightlines above or below or a circular pattern to replicate a scroll. Perhaps the project calls for unique millwork. Provide a design or ask our design professionals to assist in creating a new SDL pattern. State-of-the-art aluminum milling machines read CAD drawings to cut and craft ornate patterns in both aluminum and wood. This results in a window or door that combines the detailing and craftsmanship of a small millwork house with the product performance delivered by an industry leader.

Simulated Divided Lites (SDL) is an energy-efficient way to create the look of divided lites. Muntin bars are adhered to both sides of the glass. Specifying SDL with optional spacer bars, which are installed between the panes of insulating glass, achieves the look of an “authentic divided lite” while providing superior performance. Muntin bars are available with a solid wood interior and either a wood or an AAMA 2605-05 extruded aluminum clad exterior. |

Custom Authentic Divided Lites (ADL) feature separate pieces of glass glazed between muntin bars—the way windows have been made since the beginning. ADL is available in wood, and through Signature Products and Services, in clad-wood as well. Historically ADL joins separate pieces of single pane glass, but Marvin’s state-of-the-art design gives you the option of using ADL with insulating glass, if desired. A narrow, custom width of 7/8" is ideal for replicating historic windows (no minimum quantity applies). Custom widths and profiles are available. | Standard Options Creating the ideal window or door doesn’t always require the level of customization provided through Signature Products and Services.
